    5 January 1945 | The last session of the Gestapo summary court from Kattowitz was held in Block 11 in Auschwitz I. Over 100 Poles were sentenced to death. Germans shot them in crematorium V in Birkenau the next day Jan Strycharski from Myślachowice was one of them. 1/4

  3. These were Poles: Wacław Lipka (no. 2520), Mieczysław Morawa (no. 5730), Józef Ilczuk (no. 14916), Władysław Biskup (no. 74501) & Jan Agrestowski (no. 74545) and a Czech Stanisław Slezak (no. 39340). They were shot in the crematorium of the Mauthausen camp on 3 April 3 1945. 2/2

  4. 5 January 1945 | 6 prisoners were transferred from Auschwitz II-Birkenau to Mauthausen (the so-called Geheimnisträger - secrecy carriers): 5 Polish prisoners from the Sonderkommando & a Czech who operated X-ray apparatuses in the experimental lab of SS doctor Horst Schumann. 1/2

  9. Gestapo summary court from Kattowitz that carried its sessions in Auschwitz sentenced to death around 3,000 Poles. Most of them were shot. The executions were held at the yard of Block 11 and from March 1944 in Birkenau, mainly in crematorium V 4/4
