    Great to talk to recently about changes coming to Gladstone. Our employers have plans to decarbonise heavy industry, ending the era of domestic coal. It’s time our elected reps worked with regional QLD on a transition plan to see us through.

    Increasingly, businesses around the globe are looking at the environmental practices - or lack thereof - of supply chains. JBS Foods (of which its local arm is Australia's largest beef processor) has learnt this the hard way.

    How failure to manage nature risk by turning a (wilful, surely?) blind eye to deforestation can quickly become a material financial risk. Australia's biggest beef processor JBS loses EU customers. Not for the last time, you'd think.
