R-I polling (N = 61,712) shows the marriage gap is now over 4x as large as the gender gap--19.6 points to 4.7 points Destroying borders and destroying matrimony have been crucial ingredients of the left's cultural and electoral successes https://anepigone.blogspot.com/2018/10/gender-doesnt-matter-marriage-does.html …

Economically women move more towards their husbands' political orientations at marriage than men tend to move towards their wives' political orientations at marriage. Doesn't really seem to be the case on social issues tho

Interesting. But there is very strong selection on marriageable vs unmarriageable people. The unmarriageable women are very likely the exact people who never care about anyone's interests but their own.

Personal anecdote makes me subjective. My wife voted for Obama in 08 (before I met her), Gary Johnson in 12 (when we were dating), Trump in 16 (married, 2 kids), Kobach next month (3 kids). Last two horrify her family of origin but she's been convinced they're good for our family

Did she migrate? When I lived in San Francisco, I voted for a lot of Republicans (but no heterosexual Republicans), especially when that's who was running against the awful Pelosi. But I vote straight Dem now. (Well, ex Hillary.)
