Please give due coverage to the other side of this crisis. Patients in pain are suffering and even dying, due to the misdeeds of others.

I don't fucking care if 4in4 know someone who died. I have chronic pain and you fools seem to be obsessed with believing that prescription drugs cause the deaths. You idiot prescription drugs are the safest form of opiates. Everyone dying is on Heroin or Fentanyl or mixing.dumas

Exactly, when they talk about the opioid epidemic, most the time it very quietly said or in the fine print, that it is mainly heroin. The statistics back it up. But they don't tell you that. My motto. I use my opioids to try and have a life, an addict uses them to hide from life.

This CDC, FDA, DEA, med bords, drs, ers, Trump and Congress are all going about this in the most destructive way possible. They are setting back pain management 50 yrs. Opiate pain meds are the safest way to treat chronic intractible pain. You refuse to treat painandURmurderersNXS

You murder 50 chronic pain pts. for every addict and there will be a backlash like you won't believe. Friends and families will start looking for those responsible. They will find you and cut out your black hrts. And burn down your neighborhoods. You won't survivethisbetrayal#NO

You are one sick puppy, just exploding with hate and anger. Must be a Trump voter.

Please poll about the treatment of chronic pain in this country! Government keeps reacting to this
#IllicicitFentanylCrisis &#OverdoseCrisis by attacking easy targets, like Drs, Pharmacists & Pain Patients, but no lives are saved. Instead, treating#PAIN is no longer required! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Dr G surely you understand this issue is much bigger than jst ‘addiction’ - a dubious medicine to begin with. The crisis is lack of
#mentalhealth facilities, appropriate#painmanagement, and#stigma associated with both which prevents people from getting help they need in time - 1 more reply

Its not an "opioid crisis" its a heroin crisis - in the DEA has been letting the heroin into this country for decades. They do nothing about keeping her one out. All they are doing is keeping chronic pain patients from being able to get legal medication. Check your facts.

This is a telephone poll & respondents' "beliefs" are driven by the media. Prescribing is down, and deaths are up. Why isn't THAT reported?pic.twitter.com/2tdXelzxZ4

Have we seen any good results on public distribution of Narcan? We know it saves lives, but I wonder if it’s helping ppl towards sobriety?
