Not surprisingly, tax cuts resulted in very fat bonuses. Equating tax deduction to R&D spending in direct proportion would have done wonders for our future growth. More money in consumer pockets will benefit China.

GOP always says tax cuts increase revenue. It's just an assertion. One can also assert that high marginal rates stimulate R and D, and reinvestment in the infrastructure of the business. It encourages businesses to avoid higher taxes on profits over a certain amount.
