Three doctors who treat refugees examined @JulianAssange and say he is ill and being deprived of adequate medical care. Their point: if health care is a right, Assange deserves it, too. @sondracrosby16 @brockchisholm, @seanreedlovehttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jan/24/julian-assange-care-wikileaks-ecuadorian-embassy …

He could go to a hospital. I do not believe the doctors or nurses would call the police. To equate him with a refugee is wrong
-
He has been given refugee status by Ecuador and the UN. Not equating. Actual

Assange resides in Ecuadorean territory. If he’s unhappy with the care he’s receiving, he can: a) make his grievances known to the Ecuadorean government which he believes is failing him b) Leave
-
He didn't enter that building because of crimes against the state, but dodging sex crimes allegations. Do you provide that kind of attentive care at the local prison?
-
Those were BS false charges and were dropped by the Swedish government last May.
-
Wrong. The warrant was dropped because as a fugitive, he evaded getting served. Should he return to Sweden before the statute of limitations, it could be resumed. But if he believes he’s a free man, he can just open the front door, walk out and take a train to Sweden.pic.twitter.com/7Onef6I9nq

And if the charges really were BS and dropped, then there’s literally no reason for him to stay in that embassy another minute.

I completely agree with your stance.

If three doctors examined him then what is the issue with Assange getting healthcare? Three doctors were in there apparently. Oh, and in the U.S. several major hospitals are doing some appointments by video chat. Admittedly some, not all. And initially that wouldn’t happen.
-
He needs an MRI.
-
Well then yeah. That’s a different story. Guess he’ll have to come out.

He is a refugee. The attempts to arrest him have been twice found to be unlawful by the UN. .
@JulianAssange won his application for refugee status in August 2012. He is registered with UNHCR under the 1951 convention.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fcw3SKVRUbM … - 1 more reply

Assange has been given refugee status. In that sense he is a fugitive from the country that Ecuador and the UN believe he has a well-founded fear of. Most countries that refugees flee, believe the persecuted are fugitives. We advocate for ALL refugees.
