well, if that's a serious question, one answer is focus on outcomes, not procedures. seems obvious, but it's retooled the system!!

It's 100% serious. It's great more people have "access" to insurance. But the cost of care is still too high, regardless who is paying

ok -- Looking at outcomes, tracking high-complexity patients (who tend to need oversight), etc., help bring down costs for all. Part of ACA.

2/2 It's just "bring down costs" relative to curve without interventions, but that's the only target available. Econ of med pretty complex.

Bending the cost curve is nice. But I think more targets are needed to measure success
