Jeez who needs ovens and gas chambers. An un-regulated health insurance and health system will do their work for them.

Maybe this is their plan. I never got why they didn't eant me to have insurance. This is the only thing that makes sense. As demented as it is, the GOP apparently want me dead.
-
The insurance companies want to pay out as little as possible. They buy politicians. It’s really as simple as that.

Even if your patients have employer-based insurance, a declaration that the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional might put them closer to reaching a lifetime cap, of the kind that existed widely before the ACA. The indivdual market is not the only one at risk.
@NoProvisions -
Trust me employer based insurance doesn't save your home or savings. Pre ACA I lost both. Because an employer can only keep you so long with a catastrophic illness. Then a time limited outrageous expensive cobra kicks in. Months later you are uninsurable with preexisting conds

A 50-something woman wearing a large diamond & gold cross at my bar one day recalled the argument she had w an ALS sufferer ~ healthcare reform. She said to him,"it's not my problem you're not more successful in life." She hadn't had a paying job since college.

I live deep in the heart of trump country. This is lady & her attitude is pretty standard issue around here.
-
I also live in the heart of Trump country, Great Plains. I’m also a home health/hospice RN. Many of my patients support Trump and also have one form of govt assistance in some way. They ALWAYS think they’re the exception to said programs, “but I NEED IT!” Like others don’t

-
Sadly, they feel ENTITLED to govt assistance but don't feel others are.
-
That’s exactly what I said... they think they’re the exception to the rule. Others think it’s “lazy welfare moms” When a lot of elderly depend on various programs as well like heating asst. food stamps etc.

Terrible. We can do better but how? The Obamacare exchanges are imploding. Business and medicine don’t mix very well. Single payor?
-
Not everywhere. CAs exchange is doing fine. States that sabotaged their own markets in order to “make Obamacare fail” are the ones having issues.

“Some plans are already hiking premiums by 30% or more after the uncertainty introduced by the Trump administration and the GOP Congress.” And if Trump prevails, I’ll be denied coverage for the medicine that is literally keeping me alive. Insane, infuriating.
-
Here’s something else to ponder. If US medical insurance system won’t pay for treatment why would GOP run government support medical research? If research isn’t supported how long til GOP reduces US status as innovator. Our political parties need reform but GOP is bad for US health

Why do politicians want their voters to die?
-
They want their poor voters to die. The rich will be able to afford healthcare. Those are the only people the GOP care about, anyway.
