        @subodhdave1 I agree, relational rather than transactional for sure, but the hard thing about relationality is what it demands of the practitioner: understanding the nature of it and knowing oneself enough. Are these the skills being taught? And then assessed? Agree, not yet.

        We do teach and assess at Leicester with undergrads. Teaching integrated with professionalism and also clinical practice skills. Developed osce to look at aspects of this. Not perfect by any means but let’s students know it is important

        I had the privilege of talking to a hospice patient a week before he died about his life, 27 years in prison, the awful time ‘inside’ - and about his last years of freedom, faith and family. We are all of our stories, acceptance of the whole person is so important. #hospicepoet
