    Nuclear energy is clean energy. The electricity it generates avoids the emissions of more than 528 million metric tons of carbon dioxide every year. That’s equal to the emissions of 111 million passenger vehicles!

    Completely baffled by . Promulgating misinformation and misusing a statistical model with known faults. Radiation cures far more cancers than it causes. NO EVIDENCE of causation from low dose rate exposures like household accumulations of natural radon.

    Admittedly, I use a broad definition of fossil fuel interests. Includes certain investment bankers like Lewis Strauss, major research institutions like Stanford, CalTech and University of Chicago, and key politicians from states like California, Texas & New York

    I believe it will be easier for MOST people to change entrenched positions against nuclear when they learn that fossil fuel interests invented almost every negative "fact" they think they know. Even most real negatives can be traced to purposeful acts by fossil fuel interests

    Bemused by tweets complaining about x-number of "tons of radioactive water" that will be released into ocean from tanks at Fukushima. The x is irrelevant and can be made infinitely large by simply adding more pure water to tanks. Mass of TRITIUM in tanks is declining

    Nothing flawed about it. Sour grapes from the blow in out of towners wanting to rob the community of a fantastic opportunity didn't get their way. Time to embrace a much needed and well planned facility for the good of all. Lets waste no more resources / time

    IMO, the most straightforward type of replacement would be to substitute high temperature gas cooled reactors for the combustion furnaces currently used. Like China’s HTR-PM. Still sometime in mid-range future
