Why should anyone have the right to mutilate another person's genitals without their permission?

How is it mutilation? It's more healthy to be circumcised, and I don't think most guys would be willing to do it later in life

No, it is definitely not. On the contrary it is detrimental. Even if it was healthy, nobody should make decisions on others body parts.

http://www.center4research.org/circumcision-health-benefits-risks/ … there's some pretty good benefits, also parents have the legal right to make decisions for their children's health.

Wrong button. I read that as 'should it be legal?' Obviously I vote against circumcision. Can I change my vote somehow?

OK, that explains it, faith in humanity kind of restored. One must wonder then why the practice is legal most places huh? And what does that tell you about our democracy and freedom? Freedom to slice infants genitals.

There are some medical reasons to have it done. But they should be ascertained first.

Phimosis is present in all infants. After/during puberty, if it is still present there are other treatment options that should be attempted before circumcision is recommended.

        Replying to @sparxx @EliasFigun and

There are steroidal creams that used in conjunction with gentle stretching can resolve the issue. If that doesn't work, there is a surgery that cuts a slit in the foreskin and stitches it back in such a way that gives the glans more room, and allows retraction.

      8. Jazhu‏ @JazhuStreaming Dec 31
        Replying to @JazhuStreaming @sparxx and

Many US doctors are unaware of these options because they are taught that the only solution to any issues with the foreskin is circumcision.
