  3. Today marks the 17th anniversary since we lost the heroes of the Space Shuttle Columbia, 6 American & 1 Israeli astronauts who executed an incredibly productive science focused mission. Their efforts advanced the pursuit of science & exploration for all to follow.

  4. Without the actions and sacrifices of those that came before us, humankind would never have set eyes on our Earth from above. The fallen heroes of Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia are present in all that we do.

  5. Yesterday and I prepped STPSat-4. This satellite includes space weather sensors and devices for tracking satellites and their astronomic surroundings. Via the airlock (behind Drew), the satellite was put into orbit from the external platform today!

    Spacewalk time! After all the technical studying, airlock prepping, and conferencing, and I multitask as we do our final briefing. 💡Spacewalk hair pro tip: Double braid is the way to go--fits snug under the com cap, out of the helmet seal, and no flyaways!
