I am growing cabbage on station. I love gardening on Earth, and it is just as fun in space… I just need more room to plant more!

Sometimes it is difficult to visualize change over time. Take a look at this one….watch to the end.

The clever people at @NASA have created this deceptively simple yet highly effective data visualisation showing monthly global temperatures between 1880-2021. Watch until the end... Learn more here - svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/4975 #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis #climate

Everyone needs to see this. There is nothing that can live up to the real deal.

Looking down at planet Earth from space with @nasa astronaut @AstroPeggy from the @Space_Station When all of us get to experience this view, the way the treat each other and do business here on Earth will completely change forever. #theovervieweffect #spaceforhumanity

I had the opportunity to write a letter to my younger self for CBS "This Morning." I'm still not quite done "growing up," but I think my 9-year-old self would be pretty excited to see what her 57-year-old self gets to do for a living!

Wearing that flag on my shoulder ISS always an honor!!

Way to go , ladies! Not an unexpected success...but happy to celebrate the fact you completed a walk together!

Today's #FridayFunFact shouldn't come as a surprise... @Astro_Christina and @Astro_Jessica joined a long list of trailblazers, both male and female, marking significant milestones in spacewalk history when they performed their spacewalk today. We're celebrating with bonus facts🌟

There has been no shortage of inspirational women in my life, but it was a pleasure to be surrounded by so many at last night's #GlamourWOTY ceremony. I'm honored to be counted among such an impressive group.

#GlamourWOTY honoree @AstroPeggy truly is an American hero: "I started out as a farm girl in Iowa, and I dreamed of being an astronaut and explorer. And I made it."

Congrats, Mark, on moving up the list for single flight duration! If you want to stay another 277 more days, you can pass my cumulative time in space!
Quote
Today @Astro_Sabot reaches 289 days in space, passing @AstroPeggy’s third-longest single spaceflight record of 288 days. He will break two more @NASA_Astronauts records before he lands on March 30 with 355 days.

Today is the 40th anniversary of Sally Ride’s first flight into space! She and the rest of the women selected in that first class of female astronauts changed my dream of becoming an astronaut into a goal. Thank you all for the inspiration.

It was really exciting to be a part of Genes in Space-3. What can I say...science nerd and I love it.

For the first time, unknown microbes have been identified on @Space_Station, without needing to be sent back to Earth for sequencing. Watch how scientists overcame #HurricaneHarvey to complete this experiment, and what it means for space exploration. go.nasa.gov/2kKEwHY

Fun Fact: My dad was growing soybeans on Earth while I was growing them on-orbit. Guess we should check on the crops this year!
Quote
In September 2017, astronaut @AstroPeggy set a U.S. record with 665 days in space! In this photo from 2002, when she spent six months as the Science Officer on the @Space_Station, Whitson checks on a soybean plant grown completely in space!
An astronaut with short hair opens a compartment with a small, leafy plant inside. The door to the compartment has a mirror in it, and we can see the astronaut's face reflected.

I guess we didn’t return it as clean as when we launched….but so cool that it will be reused on many future launches!

Morning views on @Space_Station. Although we're only ~250 miles closer to the Moon than you are, we can see it more clearly since it's not obscured by the Earth’s atmosphere. We at @NASA are celebrating the #Apollo50th anniversaries & looking forward to our return there! #Artemis

Enjoying my last weeks on @Space_Station! Taking short breaks between all the activities onboard to soak up the views of our beautiful planet. Medical testing and packing to prepare for departure have been keeping us busy. What would you do if you had two weeks in space?

.@AstroPeggy worked on the Genes in Space-3 study which completed the first sample-to-sequence process entirely aboard the @Space_Station. This makes it possible to identify microbes without having to send samples back to Earth. #WomensHistoryMonth go.nasa.gov/2kKEwHY

🌃 The Space Station at night. Science goes on 24 hours as many experiments inside and outside the Station run without us interacting with them, we can sometimes hear the hum or clicks of machinery doing their stuff for @ISS_Research through the night.
