But they were the most colorful team in baseball for decades and their near-misses were part of the legend.pic.twitter.com/DzoIMLMAEZ
I've been a NY Mets fans since I was a kid. My dad was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan and switched over to the Mets in 1969. The Mets wear the colors of the old Dodgers and NY Giants. Ironic that the 1988 Dodgers beat the Mets to win the NL Championship before they dispatched the A's.
I'm sure I'm jinxing it for Dodger fans. I am genuinely neutral on them, as I am with most things in California. But it'd be a fine thing for the LA Dodgers to get over the top after getting so close the last few years. Like the Red Sox after 2004, I bet they'd win a lot more.
The Dodgers left Brooklyn in 1957 Two years later they won the WS.
Yup. Won in 1959, 1963 and 1965.
I'm just stopping by to say that even if the Dodgers win the WS tonight, they will have won one less (7) than the @SFGiants (8)
That's cold. But you'll always have this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrI7dVj90zs …
