If i recall, this asteroid hit Russia within 24 hours of a so-called "near miss" asteroid, and, I always wondered if this piece kind of fell away, and, we saw the rest as it exploded. So, I'm always a bit paranoid when they say "Near Earth Object" now

I have my car dashcam on when driving, always hoping, always hoping..you know, nobody ever did find the mother rock of the Novato fall here in 2012(I believe). Most say it's buried up near Lake Berryessa somewhere. The Nasa guy even rented a blimp, to hunt for it, 2 no avail.

I believe its called a Bowlide when its accompanied by a sonic boom. Small astroids like this are harmless spectacular but bigger!!!!
