NEW from me: Black voters are telling black candidates -- representation is not enough. 'Electability' drives older moderates + the kids want disruption. Why this dynamic makes it harder, post-Trump, for Booker/Harris/Patrick to recreate "Obama coalition."https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/25/us/politics/2020-election-black-voters.html …

U need all sides of black voters to recreate Obama playbook, older/younger, college/non-college. Biden has blocked black candidates among biggest voting groups (older), but Sanders and Warren's inroads among black left -- and esp young ppl -- has hurt alsohttps://nyti.ms/2OGqeqO

Kids dont want disruption. They just want healthcare, to not be financially destroyed for getting an education and to prevent climate catastrophe. And that's why young people and the working class want #bernie2020.

But that is disruption to the current status quo. You can make a solid case why these proposals have merit, and perhaps even are necessary, but have to also understand the leap you asking voters - esp older and/or moderate ones - to take.

It’s hard for booker and Harris cuz they are weak candidates. None of them have the Obama it factor. It has nothing to do with race.

It’s not fresh anymore. Also, Obama was so-so for the black community. It’s almost like he was a puppet.

No, he is just a status quo centrist. They just do what they need to do.

Right ... b/c that’s how Trump won. 🙄(sarcasm) Detailed plans & accountability mean nothing if you don’t win. HRC had ALL the plans & it didn’t matter. Get people inspired, riled up, motivated, angry passionate or whatever it takes to get their inert asses to the polls.

Fortunately - Booker and Harris are two of our five most liberal senators and offer both having only ever won their elections.

Is that why Booker was the last Democrat Obama had to convince to vote for Iran deal? Or Harris is the first that always supports the right wing Israeli government? Do see any progressive here.
