US authorities will only prosecute WikiLeaks at the expense of weakening the 1st amendment and doing away with the legislators' intentions entirely. WikiLeaks' right to publish is enshrined in international law. Hence prosecution must be resisted.
But wiki leaks isn’t the only venue where information has appeared, and nothing else has happened to other outlets that played that game. This argument has lost its appeal (ask the intercept about dealing with sensitive information as well)
Resist, sure. I’m all for you defending the right of people to know things. But it’s not without consequence or repercussions. It’s foolish to believe or act otherwise.
