.@attackerman: What do you think about Wikileaks today?
@BarrettBrown_: It’s time for it to pass the baton for something with the moral authority to do that work.
Defends release of DNC emails but says Assange has “collaborated openly with outright fascists.” #hopeconf

Actually I’ve appeared on panels and fundraisers for Assange since getting out of prison, and continue to explain that I support him against states, as I’ve always done. I did four years over Wikileaks; don’t need permission from random civilians to criticize it.

It was Assange's initiative to have
@couragefound defend Brown. Brown has his freedom. Now Brown is actively trying to reduce support for Assange and WikiLeaks who Trump's CIA head & AG vow to destroy. The CIA is surely celebrating Brown's lack of solidarity. Well done Barrett. -
As I’ve already pointed out, to no effect, Courage did not bring me on until after I’d been sentenced. My legal fund was overseen by Kevin Gallagher. That one of Assange’s key backers would try to give him credit for my defense at the expense of those who did so is telling.

Barratt, I don’t understand your negativity toward JA. What am I missing?

He behaves like support for WikiLeaks and support for Barrett is a zero-sum game. He would be wise to realise it is the opposite. Assange defended him, made him a Courage beneficiary and raised awareness about his case, including before Brown was sentenced https://couragefound.org/2015/07/announcement-barrett-brown-is-courages-fifth-beneficiary/ …pic.twitter.com/gVHPikfAmw

Courage didn’t bring me on until after I was sentenced. Our defense fund was raised with about zero help from Assange. I’ve since voluntarily allowed ongoing funds intended for my restitution to go to others. I’m speaking on a panel with Courage tomorrow. So, no.

Justice4Assange support redirects to Courage and Courage doesn’t explicitly state FINANCIAL support for Assange... ...this does beg the question - what the hell is going on?pic.twitter.com/E5mznvd78b

IMF loans typically are funneled through in country entities back to the individuals and families that signed for them. Has Ecuador returned to that level of corruption so quickly ?
