Where is your & FPF's condemnation of Ecuador's gagging @julianAssange, refusing all visitors, and even phone calls through jammers since 28 March? "Freedom of the Press Foundation" had vowed to speak out on principle. Not so.
It took Human Rights Watch to condemn the situation.
He answered an email I sent to FPF by telling me that they had talked about it. The proof? a mere tweet that had a link to the Human Rights Watch's article. Absolutely shameful that a self-proclaimed "freedom of the press" organization treats the public as if they were fools.
Even if you believe every word in the indictment (which one shouldn't as a rule) what WikiLeaks is alleged to have done is no different from what The Hill, The Intercept, Politico, Gawker, Smoking Gun and other US publications themselves admit to have done.
