OK - please send link to existing Sweden rape charge document(s). The US can abduct / extradite / murder foreign citizens without due process. Happens all the time in the name of national security.

Blair, you're being ridiculously ignorant. I've been following the
#Assange case since 2010. Sweden has dropped the investigation, not the#rape charge. That won't expire til August 2020.https://news.cision.com/aklagarmyndigheten/r/the-investigation-against-julian-assange-is-discontinued,c2269505 …2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
This is what trolls do when someone disagrees. They attack someone's character or intellect instead of just stating facts. I asked for a document regarding the rape charge. None was produced. If you need evidence of extrajudicial internment by US - just look to Guantanamo.

I've stated a fact, & provided you with a cite to prove it: Sweden hasn't dropped the
#rape charge. Can you read Swedish? Now, tell me how many Brits in Guantanamo were kidnapped out of a UK prison?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
There never was a rape charge. He was never charged.

Swedish judicial process is for the accused to be questioned by police, & during questioning, charged with the crimes abt which he is being questioned. Julian
#Assange was "never charged" with#rape or#sexualassault because Assange fled into the embassy to AVOID being charged.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
More falsehoods. Assange was investigated and cleared by Swedish prosecutor. He then was granted permission to leave Sweden. New prosecutor re-opened the case after the fact, then refused for years to question him in London even though it was standard practice for them to do so.

Wrong. Assange was not investigated & cleared: he was investigated & as he had been given (misguided) permision to leave Sweden, & was now in the UK, a EAW was issued for his arrest. There IS no "standard practice" to question a fugitive from justice in another country.

Incorrect. First prosecutor found no crime had been committed. Dozens of other people being investigated by Swedish authorities HAD been questioned in London. It *was* standard practice to proceed with questioning there. The refusal to do so in Assange's case was an anomaly.

Yes: initially, a prosecutor looked at the account by two women of being sexually assaulted, and one raped by Assange, & for some reason decided that sexual assault & rape weren't really crimes. But that first prosecutor was obviously wrong. And no, not standard practice.

Jane, he's been cleared. FOI documents show that it was standard practice & Assange was treated in a discriminatory manner. Even the alleged "complainant" said police "railroaded" her & "made up" the accusation in order to "get him" http://justice4assange.com https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/uk/swedish-prosecutors-slammed-for-victimising-julian-assange-of-wikileaks-31439925.html …
