Lastly, we visited the Creation District and presented them with a $400k check to help expand their programs for homeless youth.
I’m excited for these projects and can’t wait to come back once they’re done!
Next was Green Tech Mobility Hub. We presented the organization with a $250K check to further help them build EV charging stations & bring green equitably & transportation opportunities to underserved communities.
First stop was Robert T. Matsui park where we presented Sacramento Tree Foundation with a $750k check for the Hanami Line Project where 109 Cherry Blossoms will be planted in honor of the Japanese community in Sac.
It’s been a busy day in #AD6 as #TeamMcCarty has been touring neat and creative project sites throughout the district that I’ve been able to help support. We presented a total $1.4M to organizations uplifting the community. 🧵
CA is on the path to reducing air pollution caused by gasoline-powered cars w/ more than 345K fully/partially electric cars sold in 2022!! I am excited to see more vehicles sold in the state as we inch closer to the 2035 transition to 🔋🚙.
