    Qld to use non-lethal approach to mitigation in in Feb. Finally, some sense & Qld is moving with the times. Qld has culled sharks for ~60yrs, see my thread for why this is ridiculous when you use the analogy of road safety.

    Sometimes manta rays move long distances, sometimes they don’t. They like some habitats and not others. We don’t know why.

    The results are in! When reviewing, 71% want the figures and their legends in the main text, only 7% want them at the end. Please forward to other editors-in-chief and journals that still insist on the figures coming at the end.

    Woke to an email today from Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology saying our manuscript won't go to review until figures are moved to the end and separated from their legends. Surely reviewers prefer to have the figures and legends where they are relevant?

    It was completely unacceptable that and moved a family of 4 from Biloela to Christmas Island in the first place, and spent many millions to keep them under detention for many months to await a decision on their valid case for seeking asylum 1/n

    Often fieldwork requires resourcefulness, in this case it was peanut butter for the win! Great use of critter cam technology to inform on manta ray feeding ecology from the team!
