The day consisted of tree planting, special demonstrations to portray the daily job of an arborist, bug displays, a composting station, and nature themed educational activities to demonstrate the importance of biodiversity in our urban forest.

Today, 600 students took part in a day of learning about trees & our urban forest as part of #yeg’s Arbor Day Celebration! 🌳🐛🌿
Our teams in Parks & Roads are doing great work to ensure Edmonton is greener as we grow & a wonderful place to call home for generations to come 💚
