  1. A colleague of mine couldn't spot any fellow Haskellers at a tech. conference. I told him they were probably being referentially transparent.

Take a 600-cell in 4D with 120 vertices ±v_i, i=1…60 Define F(x)=𝚷_i v_i·x Stereographically project F from a 4-sphere to 3D, then Fourier-transform from momentum space to position space. Result: this hydrogen wave function, with energy level n=61.

A GUI is an opinion on how to abstract over and package an API. If, that opinion, seems overly limiting, or is based off sweeping assumptions, that's a red flag that you're probably designing it wrong. However, a GUI is limited by screen-space. Text based API's not so much.

Bugs like this on phones worth well above a thousand euros. At this premium, I’m struggling to find Apple credible at all. Needless to say, Apple isn’t FOSS but uses its tactics for ‘beta testing’ (and admission that their testing process is ineffective)

if your microservice can't be deployed without a bunch of other microservices that always get deployed together, they're not actually microservices. it's just a monolith with a really slow string-based calling convention.

So WhatsApp finally rolled out the feature to not allow everyone to add you to random groups. But their implementation is cocky. There's no way for you to opt. out of being added to random groups altogether. The user experience on WhatsApp is complete garbage.

Just the upgrade experience in NixOS is enough to convince me that I'm never going back to any other distro. Nix is a revolution in managing systems. Imagine Apple's branded "time machine" stuff, only better, more powerful, more in your control and less magical.
