Here’s the bottom line: Foreign countries engage in covert political warfare when they believe there is a vulnerability which can be exploited to their country’s benefit. So, when particular individuals are targeted, ask 1) what are they exploiting and 2) what’s the payoff? 1/

I,
@alexzfinley and@john_sipher laid this all out in more detail in this piece last week:https://www.justsecurity.org/68728/why-the-2020-election-will-be-a-mess-its-just-too-easy-for-putin/ …Show this thread -
Also, if you haven’t already, watch this three-part
@nytimes video series (about 15 min each) on the KGB/Putin active measures playbookhttps://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/12/opinion/russia-meddling-disinformation-fake-news-elections.html …Show this thread

Bernie Sanders is a narcissist. Not on the level of Trump, but he is. And if Trump were not the incumbent, and in normal times, with Bernie’s behavioral history in national contests, his narcissism would and should be a discussed topic.

I agree and am wondering if any psychologists or psychiatrists have tweeted at all about this. ?

"It’s their *actions*, once they learn that they are being used, which tells you how serious they are about stopping it." Yup. So far, however, all I'm seeing is ego over country. Clear denunciations should be made, preferably well before Super Tuesday. Also, I'd like a pony.

Sanders's serious (since long ago) about fixing issues that Trump's allies exploited. (prevent gerrymandering and bought politicians, improve access to education, reduce wealth inequality...) if any past government would have fixed at least some of those, USA wouldn't have Trump.

I bet he’ll pardon Trump.
