There's a curious tic Trump has that reveals that he suffers from imposter syndrome: The way he tries to marshal unnamed people in support of his policies ("many people," "a lot of people say," etc.). He has zero confidence in his own ability, convictions, and decisions.

Well, I liked it at first because it sounded zippy, but as soon as I posted it, I felt sour at having turned your last name into that of Papa D, and I felt sad since you're the epitome of non-traitor.

Yes – I would think the narcissism actually has to go into super overdrive to help cope with/avoid feelings of inferiority.

One can be NPD & suffer from imposter syndrome yes - but person would still need to possess some competence.Trump is NPD but wholly unqualified & unfit for job - he literally IS an imposter, so doesn’t have syndrome. Today was him clumsily trying to hide his inadequacy in public.

He's actually better described as a narcissist sociopath. He's not lying when he says, for example, that knows more about drones than anyone. He believes it. Other times he's just lying.

That's a really astute observation! What a number his father must've pulled on him. Being mocked is his greatest fear.

Did his dad make fun of his brother Fred (the one who drank himself to death)? I bet he did. Serious daddy issues going on there.

Imagine knowing full well that everything you've ever said about your reason for being (money, fame,) was a lie and directly correlated to daddy keeping you afloat most of your life. And then Russia taking over where daddy left off. The internal feelings of inadequacy. . .

Shaming tactics are usually indicative of someone feeling threatened by the truth of something that conflicts with their self-image and a need to lash out to deal with the discomfort of that.

Wow you are really looking for a full behavioral analysis from me, aren't you? I appreciate your giving me more material. I might need to bring in @9replyguys on this, though. I'm going to peg you as a hybrid Sea Lion/Mansplainer -- but I will wait for their second opinion.

Seems to be a failure to communicate thought I made myself clear. When pressed on something you seem to change that subject - you may have more in common with Trump then you’d hope. I prefer not to be Pegged. Will you not spare me your wrath?

The fact that #Trump realizes his shortcomings/insecurity/flaws shows he is not completely Delusional. On some level he knows he is an undeserving, inept dolt. Ergo there is hope for him...and the nation.
