VC, I'm guessing. But Ash can confirm. Many of the HFs in the industry haven't reached those AUM sizes (yet), and a good amount of VC funds that are raising large amounts of capital are scheduled to have first closes this quarter.
Funny that so many of people assume this will be used to buy tokens. The large amounts I’m aware of will be used to invest in new ventures and L2 applications that can bring real adoption.

Can someone explain how can you efficiently deploy $500MM+ into crypto right now? I’m naive to assume their LPs are not paying them 2/20 to buy and hold BTC, which might be a wrong assumption for some of the funds mentioned above
Yup, that's def part of it, which doesn't make sense as LPs can just buy and hold BTC directly. It's much easier these days for both individuals and institutions.
