A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.
HeyGUYS , "MMA WORLD" (a channel on YouTube) RUNS ADS but ALL HIS CONTENT IS STOLEN- stolen instagram story and videos of many users (ufc as well), stolen audio of podcasts, stolen interviews- THIS USER OWNS NONE OF THE CONTENT BUT RUNS ADS- DEMONETZIE HIM FOR REUSED CONTENT!!
This is an important step (with more to come!) towards a better Copyright system for creators & music partners long term.
