Definitely – it’s totally fine so long as you don’t provide other private information along with the channel ID. We’ll wait for your reply!

Can you please help me out? The problem still has not been solved. http://youtube.com/AsarFarrell still leads to a 404 page.

Thank you for your help, but it has been more than a week since I contacted you guys and nothing has changed yet. I can't understand why it is so much hassle to change something as simple as a channel url. It holds down my progress of uploading new videos.

Heard back and got a confirmation that the custom URL http://www.youtube.com/c/AsarFarrell has been reserved for your channel and is ready for activation. If you're having an error in activating your URL, send a screenshot for us to investigate further.

Maybe if I change my name on Google from Asar Farrell to AsarFarrell (removing the space) it might 'reset' some settings that COULD make claiming a new url available?

Thank you for the screenshots, making changes in your Google name would not have an effect with the availability of the new URL. We've passed this along for further investigation and let you know once we have an update.

I have to say though, it doesn't let me claim http://youtube.com/c/AsarFarrell without any additional characters, even though that channel doesn't exist.
