does anybody have any successful experience with the following: 1. chronically getting "outdated" dreams that are no longer relevant (a common one is dreaming that you're in school?) 2. doing something so you don't get those anymore (maybe "updating" your subconscious somehow?)

Years later, I have a new set of recurring nightmares. I'm stuck I'm my abusive rabbinical school. Everytime I have the dream I react differently, and it's very revealing, so I choose not to try an end it. I used to escape but over the years I've started just to sit and observe.

Often when I'd attempt escape, it end with me being beaten to death by rabbis. When I stay, I experience intense emotional pain that often wakes me up, but when I do, I don't feel so damn scared anymore. I don't call them nightmares anymore- a trip is a trip, and I choose to trip
