Do you expect the graphical representation really add much over what you could get from ranking potential follows based on, e.g., a weighted closeness/connectedness on the graph?

I think so! Playing around with clustering manually, browsing the graph, finding interesting regions, etc. Even for its own sake, I think users would like to do that (I would enjoy it!)
