WoW Lore discussion: Just gonna pitch a thing here, but if Uther's soul was split into two, does that mean that everyone reaped by Frostmourne has a copy of their soul in Shadowlands? And what does that mean for Sylvanas?

I think you missed the part when Uther spoke his last word "Light safes my soul." So The Light choose him to serve as a Kyrian, without even knowing that a part of him still trapped in that cursed frostmourne. *CMIIW*

My read on it is that the Light was trying to save his soul from frostmourne, and that's what split his soul. Devos seemed pretty surprised that his soul was damaged.

That's a smart take on it aswell! If that's the case then I wonder if the light is the only source to save a soul like that. Also gonna be so interesting to see if the light and other cosmic forces have anything to say or influence in the Shadowlands!

Maybe because he's a paladin that he has 2 souls ? Idk lol. When he dies in
@BlizzHeroes we could still play him as his "light" spirits. -
Really excited for them to explain more about it, though never thought about that with his HotS abilities! If that's true then that is some next level foreshadowing

So since he never raises other as undead, we don't know for certain which half of the soul is used for reanimation. You can definitely raise intelligent, sentient undead without the need for frostmourne, so I suppose it depends on which half of Sylvanas' soul to raise her

Maybe his faith in light was so pure even the Frostmourne cannot take all his soul? And if your theory is right then maybe she already found that out (like she was dead and return by sacrificing val'kyr so maybe she was there before and solve this for herself somehow).
