Other highlights from Scott Alexander Siskind (squid314 is his livejournal):pic.twitter.com/aNOuC4AWpR
Excellent point by @perdricofhttps://twitter.com/perdricof/status/1362184633232859138?s=20 …
What the fuck is wrong with these people
@CadeMetz Just so you know, this is the extremely normal reaction of the definitely not reactionary or racist rationalist subculture when Theophite reposted the emails. (after harassing the original poster off first)pic.twitter.com/2rfDBLbnEL
Holy fucking shithttps://twitter.com/giesch_sheesh/status/1362174591955730433?s=20 …
@grkraml @davidgerard
I'm not going to read this long review that argues for UK to ally with Hitler line by line but it's pretty bad.
Scott: "various scattered historical examples which they seem able to parse better than anybody else. see for example: https://foseti.wordpress.com/2013/10/01/review-of-the-last-lion-by-paul-reid/ …"
Scott’s commentariat under no delusions about his actual beliefs prior to the leak of the emailshttps://twitter.com/_Jason_Dean_/status/1360832071569199104 …
Siskind lying through his teeth denying his obvious alignment with Murray. An interesting phenomenon in all this has been the out and proud neoreactionaries/eugenicists calling for Scott to “stop being a coward”. They seem to feel thrown under the bus.https://twitter.com/_Jason_Dean_/status/1360833006840201219 …
If you go to the quote tweets of the first tweet in this thread, depressingly it is about 60% condemnation as you’d expect and 40% NRX chuds commenting “based” or some variant
As @jttiehen astutely noticed belowhttps://twitter.com/jttiehen/status/1361040370973298690 …
^In a thread worded cleverly to raise the hackles of those who are fans of both Scott and Murray. They find themself stuck between a rock and a hard place (admit scott is racist or be forced to criticize Murray through clenched teeth).
A lot of us were frustrated by Scott’s refusal to stop giving a platform to Nazis on his blog but it’s less of a puzzle given his explicitly stated desire to provide a recruitment pipeline for reactionarieshttps://twitter.com/CultGuide/status/1361257584175575043 …
Eliezer Yudkowsky, definitely not wannabe cult-leader, condemns Topher as obviously evil for coming forward with these tweets. More surprising is the lack of significant disagreement in the thread. Needless to say, the contents of the emails are never mentioned by Yud or others.pic.twitter.com/brL6IuPL93
I don't think I've seen criticism of Scott for these emails from even a single follower of his on public channels. Dangerous mindset when criticism cannot be aired in the interest of protecting the community's image. PDF of facebook thread:https://pdfhost.io/v/9Ww2WUi8k_20210219115113_fullthread_1pdf.pdf …
As Arthur points out, the rationalist community does not have a great history with handling abuse in their community with anything remotely resembling accountability. The worst examples being Kathy Forth, her suicide and its aftermath. cw: sexual assaulthttps://twitter.com/arthur_affect/status/1362183449050714116?s=20 …
Perfect example of the DARVO by prominent members of the rationalist community over #slatestarcodex
@jimrandomh, employed by the rationalist site Lesswrong claimed that the association between rationalists and race-science (HBD) was a smear campaign

Oh boy look what surfaced from 2014, Scott Siskind comment where he replied to JayMan's bullshit comment on Jennifer Raff's review of Troublesome Inheritance. Dismissing a trained expert to believe a racist HBD blogger and telling him you love his blog. So much for "doxxing"!!!pic.twitter.com/ILPkYFfhfY
Fascinatingly, it seems that he used his real name to be ... more racist than he could under his more popular pseudonym. Puts the lie to the entire "doxxing" controversy, making it clear that the true objection was to negative coverage. See comment here:http://web.archive.org/web/20201026221339/https://violentmetaphors.com/2014/06/02/nicholas-wades-troublesome-approach-to-scientific-critiques/ …
@jeremyyoder writes a blog post on speciation of the three-spined stickleback.
Scott (Alexander) Siskind appears to ask him what he thinks of Gregory Cochran, another famous race/IQ pseudoscience guy (long-time collaborator of white nationalist Harry Harpending per @splcenter )pic.twitter.com/rskL4vQXRy
The blog post is about a fish, Siskind is too much of a caricature for fiction. https://www.molecularecologist.com/2014/08/05/how-many-genes-does-it-take-to-make-a-new-species/ …pic.twitter.com/wvvDonW01t
My apologies I meant to tag @JBYoder in the previous tweet. Do you recall this interaction by any chance Jeremy?
Moving on, another appalling entry on Scott's LJ. He is "not really interested in debating the moral good or evil of eugenics here"!

Re: the comments by Scott under the name Scott Siskind, someone has pointed out that Scott claimed to have been misrepresented by angry racist profanity laden comments under his name. While that may also be true, the two comments in question accord with his views... ... 1/2pic.twitter.com/VPzAHjvYqb
... in a very precise way. In 2017, 3 years later Scott wrote a several thousand word essay on the IQ of Ashkenazi Jews based on a paper by the scientific racist Cochran who was mentioned earlier. He has mentioned Jayman favorably over the years.https://twitter.com/avi_eisen/status/1363363299870593024 …
In the discussion above, @avi_eisen points out that Scott had linked to Jayman and Cochran's blogs and a hypothetical detractor could have come across them there.
Various links to HBD by Scott were dug up by someone in a comment on Aaronson's blog here.

... this seems to me to be a distinction without a difference. Given the evidence from the email that Scott lies (and specifically on this topic) when it suits his public image I find it much easier to believe that he put up that disclaimer when somebody stumbled on it.
