Yes. And this really has to be done by men. Women taking part will just aggravate their issues (and it's not our job to fix men's problems). Men really need to step up and model great behaviour and mentor.

You're doing great work, I'd definitely prefer to be seeing less of that guy's face everywhere though.

Tragic & obviously very frustrating that so many have been warning about this for so long. Of course men who use violence against women mainly do so behind closed doors, ie. domestic terrorism. Mass murderers are often DV perpetrators. Terrorism against women ignored for too longpic.twitter.com/zxes5aAldU

All the reporters who wade through this morass deserve awards but will likely get the MRAs attacking. David Futrelle has been wading through these web sites and blogging about the misogyny for years and has a piece on Elle's website.http://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/2018/04/25/check-out-my-piece-on-elle-about-alek-minassian-elliot-rodger-and-the-threat-of-further-incel-terrorism/#more-29784 …

I echo the request to please not share his picture. You are giving him what he wanted. Apart from that, thank you for continuing to work on this subject!

Thirded. I firmly agree with Phillip DeFranco on this one. He refuses to name or share photos of people like this because it teaches them they get notoriety. This guy idolized Elliot Rodger. Your article is amazing but please change the photo.

It’s interesting that shame is at the core of so many of these rageful, violent men. And that misogyny/domestic violence - often the outgrowth of mother-blaming - is in the histories of most mass murderers.

well to start in Canada we don't make the murderer famous, so no retweet of a big mug shot.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I had no idea this subculture existed. What a disturbing education you’ve provided. My first thought was “shut these forums down”. Surely to goodness it can’t be that hard to do?

Reddit already banned this particular group. They moved on to other places.

You seem to be equating anti-feminism with misogyny. You can be a self professed pro feminist male and a misogynist. You can be anti feminism and not a misogynist.
-
Please explain this. “I believe in an inequality among the sexes with men in a dominant role, but I don’t have a hatred toward women”?
-
You can support equality and not support feminism, feminism is an ideology with many factions. If I say I support equality that is fairly clear cut, if I say I support feminism it isn't clear cut.
-
So it’s permissible to support the spoils of someone else’s labor without supporting those doing the actual legwork. Got it.
-
I wouldn't look at it that way.
-
And therein lies your privilege.
-
Every woman I have gone out with earned more than me, owned more property than me, had more socially prestigious jobs than me. My privilege has always eluded me.
-
Your ability to understand privilege is almost as terrible as your ability to understand feminism. Privilege doesn’t mean you win; it means you have fewer challenges.
