Based on these, I think the definition of terrorism doesn't apply to this. But am troubled by the silence of Trump and right-wing media.
If his motivation is ideological hate, it can be defined as terrorism; the definition of lone wolf eases / glosses over the those evil

No, then it becomes a hate crime; the classic definition actually. Terrorism must have a political aim and unjustified violence.

That said, there is no definition of terrorism that is agreed upon. The definition changes with political/academic aims of who provides it.
