If referring to US Senate committee votes, a majority is reqired to move a nomination to a vote by the full Senate.
Is decision of committee binding? And how does committee give decision?

A vote at end of hearings process in open session by raised hands. If approved a full Sen vote is schedule. If <51% all done.

The way I see it in both Judiciary 11/9 and Foreign Relations i11/10 if one GOP vote moves to No the nominee fails to advance.
