With a new bill, AKP government extends its state of emergency powers for 3 more years. Thus, it can dismiss public servants without due process of law until July 2024. This power had already been extended for the period of 2018-2021. @VeniceComm @NachoSAmor

Between 2016 & 2018 more than 125,000, and 2018 & 2021 more than 10,000 public servants have been summarily dismissed without due process of law. Bill also extends police's emergency power to keep terror suspects under custody for 12 days. @nateschenkkan
