#AskSpano: President of @ECHR_CEDH Mr Spano: judges themselves are invoking the Convention rights before the Court. i.e: Cases from Turkey where judges were detained after the coup attempt of 2016.

Mr Spano particularly mentioned the judgments of Altan v Turkey & Bas v Turkey which Turkey was condemned for unlawful detention of judges. He further added the Court communicated 500 more cases with Turkey which were filed by detained judges and prosecutors of Turkey.
