The Judgement does not mean the seizure of properties of Cem Uzan and Hakan Uzan infringed the ECHR. The Court decided that seizure of properties of other family members infringed the ECHR.

The Court says that 2 young applicants had been deprived of the possibility of acquiring various types of property; the three others were prevented from having access, respectively, to their salary as university lecturer, savings, or home (and for each of them, to their car).
