A defeated *enemy* army, involved in The Slaver's Treason, which was treason in defense of slavery. There were zero good parts to the Confederacy. "Don't pretend their utter shit wasn't shit" is a no-brainer.

Why on earth would we want to name places of honor after traitors and second place finishers?

You would think not naming military installations/ships after those involved in an armed insurgency against us would be uncontroversial.

They should also rename every installation named after those Confederate traitors.

About damn time. The fact that the Army has no problem having bases named after traitors and white supremacists if rather disturbing if you ask me. So glad I chose the Navy for my service. That said the USS John C. Tennis should be renamed.

Navy bases are named after the cities they are in, which makes it a lot easier to find on a map lol.
