We recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new annex at our Field Research Facility in Duck, NC. The building, which is part of the Coastal and Hydraulics Lab, will support expanded military research mission.

Mike Kirklin and Patrick McGuffie recently hosted a motorboat operators' course, which focused on water rescue and recovery techniques, fostering a safe operating environment for boaters working in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

ERDC Director Dr. David Pittman recently visited the South Florida Water Management District at Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge, where he presented copies of the USACE strategy during a meeting about restoring the Everglades.

The first virtual library in the DoD will be right here at ERDC. The project is underway and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. All employees will be able to utilize the library, even those who can’t access it physically. The full story:
