As far as perspective goes, yours is wider than any one fan's. Each fan can only tell you how THEY feel. That's certainly valuable, but it's up to you to take everything in and decide what it means for your fans and your content.

True, but there is value in riding a popularity wave when it comes to content. The popularity wave isn't everything tho.
