Solopreneurs should use the Pareto Principle daily.
"80% of outcomes will come from 20% of inputs"
20% work:
- Writing
- Engaging
- Recording
- Publishing
- Targeted reading
- Customer discovery
- Launching digital products
Take consistent action on 20% activities.
Creators and Consumers treat content differently.
A consumer consumes ๐
A creator analyzes ๐ต๏ธ
Try it, analyze the:
- headline/thumbnail
- intro/hook
- storytelling
- formatting
- pacing
What did you like? Why?
Use it. Systematize it.
Ever heard of Productive Procrastination?
It's a (rookie) Solopreneur trap.
Instead of posting/engaging/growing:
- Organizing your Notion workspace
- Obsessing about your niche
- Designing your logo
- Creating your website
I've fallen for each of these ๐ซข

PMs obsess about customer discovery.
Solopreneurs should too.
- Hop on calls
- Run a survey
- Run experiments
Dig for problems. Craft solutions that solve them.
Inspiring quotes for Creators from Stephen King
Write (the first draft) quickly.
Your job isnโt to find ideas, but recognize them.
Read so that you can create.
Once you know this then understand:
People spend an average of 1.8 seconds on a piece of content ๐
Then they move on with their day worrying about their own problems.
My first internet dollar was a Dropshipping experiment selling silicone stretchy lids ๐
The first sale amount was $17.68
It caused so much excitement
Love this quote from Ray Bradbury:
โWe are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.โ
Startups need:
- a market
- a problem
- a product
For creators, itโs the same.
Ask yourself:
- who am I targeting?
- what problem do they have?
- what product would solve it?
Solve painful problems and success will follow.
Ever grabbed your phone without knowing why?
Has this ever happened 20x times a day?
It happens to me all the time.
Use the 10-minute rule to avoid this. When you feel the urge, tell yourself you can give in, but not now. After 10 minutes.
๐ธ Zone out and work
- Zero multi-tasking
- Single focus on 1 goal
- App in full-screen mode
- Execute
I like to use focus sounds. Check out brain . fm
Mine is simple.
- Prepare coffee
- Listen to 40hz binaural beats 5 min
- Sit down and execute
I learned about it on the Hubermanlab podcast. Works like a charm for me.
๐ธ Define the task
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi from the book 'Flow' explains the following:
You need clear goals of what you want to achieve.
The task should be challenging, but not beyond the skill level.
How I do it:
Close all apps end of the day.
Use Freedom app to block all distracting apps and websites from 7 am - 12 pm.
It removes willpower from the equation.
Check out 'freedom . to' - Gamechanger.
๐ธ Prepare your devices
You do deep work on your laptop.
You also use your laptop for:
- Messaging
- Email
- Social media
etc.
Clear all distractions.
๐ธ Prepare your space
Research shows that messy desks mess with productivity.
You need a clean desk policy.
Deep work thrives in clutter-free spaces.
Ask yourself:
- When am I most energized?
- When do I think most clearly?
- When am I at peak focus?
- When do I have a moment of peace?
For me, it's clearly early morning.
But for my GF, it's at night.
