    A mother whose son is in special education says HER CHILD HAS NO TEACHER IN THE CLASSROOM... for three weeks!!! Her teacher has been locked out for refusing to work in the classroom though most of the students are remote.

    What about the 130,000 students whose families will remain remote, and who are also overwhelmingly Black and Brown (as is our district)? Ignoring and erasing their needs is exactly what CPS leadership is doing in claiming that it has given up on improving remote learning.

    The ILGA sent HB2275, the bill that would restore Union bargaining rights, to the desk of this morning. We are hopeful the governor will sign the bill soon and give Chicago public school educators the same rights as other school districts throughout the state.
