This paper does not cover ruination because of Iran-Iraq war, Gulf war, and of wars in Syria, Libya, Somalia & Palestine, to name a few. It is high time that the Muslim world reflects on how we have followed bad policies and have also become the killing fields for wars of proxyhttps://twitter.com/ArifAlvi/status/1061111770130141189 …

Wars cause only death, destruction & hunger. Excellent paper 'Costs of Wars in Iraq Afghanistan & Pakistan after 9-11' by Brown Univ gives a tip of the iceberg summary of our sufferings & misery. 480K dead directly & millions indirectly with10.1M refugees https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/

Let’s go into history and study the #MiddleEast #Africa #Pakistan and #Afghanistan with 1979 Iranian revolution in context. Did we have all these sectarian and regional conflicts before 1979 ??https://youtu.be/T9nLauVaqyg

It should be our aim to strengthen OIC and make it an effective instrument for Muslim solidarity.

Unless some influential Muslims states don’t de-emphasise narrow sectarian politics, the dream of Muslims unity will not be materialised. Nations flourish with rational approach.

I correct myself; only wars that MIGHT bring some peace are (I hate to say this) uprisings/revolutions within the country. Whenever an external force intervenes, the result is never good, since their intentions are mostly selfish.
