Wouldn't a common dome tank be more mass efficient especially for an upper stage or is it too difficult with hydrolox? And what about solar radiation, I assume the stage would be insulated and painted white and you showed it like this just to emphasize the carbon fiber? Thanks

Hydrolox common bulkheads are really easy, they've been done since the 60s (Centaur). Practically every modern rocket uses them (including Ariane 5 on both stages). So this is a pretty weird choice.
