Then the scheme is AR4 for Ariane 4, then the number of boosters, then the type (solid or liquid or even both). Only question is, why call it AR44LP2? It suggests there could’ve been asymmetric versions with 1 solid & 3 liquid boosters (AR44LP1) or vice versa (AR44LP3).
