So here is a question for you @Arianespace @ArianeGroup the launcher serial for #VA243 was L5103a but where did this extra a come from? I've never seen that before and previous Ariane 5 ECA was L5102 without the a.... input welcome :)

Nominally, when each launcher is defined for Flight Readiness Review, it has a serial number : L5nnn. In case of main evolution (mission, stage … for example) after this meeting, the launcher keeps it serial number with an added extra letter for better traceability.
