Given the sharks are focused on small fish and not biting each other, how safe would it be to swim alongside that?

As far as I'm aware, the sardine run on the East Coast of South Africa is a great time for spear-fishing and diving, even though it also attracts the sharks. I think they focus more on the sardines than on the divers.
