Shocking stat: 57 senators who voted to convict Trump represent 76.7 MILLION more Americans than 43 senators who voted to acquit

This just underscores how undemocratic US Senate is: -split 50-50 but Dems represent 41 million more people -15 states with 38 million people elect 30 GOP senators -California with 40 million people elects 2 Dems https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/01/the-insurrection-was-put-down-the-gop-plan-for-minority-rule-marches-on/ …pic.twitter.com/BXLRmT6Bce

Dems didn’t have the votes to convict Trump But they do have the votes to stop next attack on democracy by passing John Lewis Voting Rights Act & For the People Act if they abolish the filibuster The stakes couldn’t be higherhttps://www.motherjones.com/mojo-wire/2021/02/trumps-lawyers-wont-renounce-the-big-lie-and-neither-will-the-gop/ …

The 2 Texas Senators voted to acquit. They DO NOT adequately represent me.
-
Neither do the two from Florida that claim to represent my state.

Question: The Senate votes of Alaska, Louisiana, Maine, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Utah were split with one Senator voting each way. Are the populations of those states counted once in each, or how is that distinguished?
-
The numbers quoted above add to 327M so I don’t believe there to be any double-counting. For the 5 states in question (ME excl.) only sensible way to do it is half population in each count. It’s 21M people total for all five, with likely 10.5M counted on each side.

I get the idea but saying that 57% of senators represent 61% of people isn't the massive point you think it is
-
% point lead in yea/nay: 14 % point lead in representation: 23.4 A near 10% difference is massive in a supposedly representative democracy.
